Rola Abdullatif serves as the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Director at the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) since May 2022. Rola specializes in designing and implementing complex surveys, impact assessments, and mixed-methods evaluations serving democracy, peacebuilding, and governance programs such as programs focused on building resilience of governance systems, on electoral education and integrity, on countering violent extremism, and on women’s economic, political and civic participation. Rola advises and supports international development programs on evaluation approaches and MEL systems design and implementation using a complexity-aware lens, emphasizing systems-based approaches and participatory techniques. Rola has diverse field experiences, including in Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East and North Africa, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and South Asia. Rola holds a Masters in Political Economy of Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies, in London and a BA in Economics from the American University of Beirut. She is fluent in French and Arabic.
