Kayla Christopherson (she/hers) is an Associate at the Center for Evaluation Innovation where she supports their strategy and learning partnerships, Benchmarking Research, and leads systems change strategies and workshops. Her work is focused on using systems thinking, emergent learning, and participatory processes to help others understand and engage with complexity. Prior to joining CEI, Kayla was the systems thinking program associate for The New School’s Journalism + Design program. There, she designed and facilitated workshops for journalists around the country to learn and apply systems thinking to their reporting, shifting how journalists cover complex issues and creating more equitable, community-centered journalism. Kayla has also provided consulting for philanthropic groups and was a Story Fellow and consultant for the Solutions Journalism Network. She holds a Masters of Sustainable Peacebuilding from UW-Milwaukee, where she completed her graduate fieldwork with International Peace Initiatives and the Alliance for Middle East Peace.
