Doctoral Candidate
Portland State University, United States
Susan is a doctoral candidate in the School of Social Work at Portland State University. She is interested in research and evaluation that informs policymaking and supports advocacy on a wide range of issues that impact people's daily lives: housing, labor, education, and safety. She is especially curious about how communities build and lose power to make decisions in these areas. Her current work focuses on evaluating a local housing program with a focus on outcomes for residents, and partnering with unhoused Portlanders to evaluate services designed to support them.
