Sabrina Strong-Nasabal, Owner and CEO of Motions Consulting, M.S, B.S, is a 3rd year full-time on-campus Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the College of Education. Her degree is in the Education, Policy, Organization, and Leadership department. She is working toward completing a concentration in Higher Education and a certificate in Program Evaluation. She is looking forward to adding program evaluation services to her consultancy. Sabrina is a 20+ year veteran in the supply chain industry and government sectors. She has experience working for Federal, State, and City governments. She also has over five years of experience as a holistic academic advisor in the community college setting. She is transitioning into program evaluation to help give voices to historically marginalized communities. Her research focuses on African-American first & second-generation college students as they navigate PWIs. She is looking at how holistic advising mature students contribute to their retention, sense of belonging, and graduation rates for those who have chosen the doctoral journey to become “late bloomers” and transitioning into second career choices. My hobbies are collecting anime chibi PVC keychains, genealogy, finding great music, and adding to a playlist.
