Independent Consultant-Collaborator
Independent, United States
Susan Igras, MPH, is an independent consultant-collaborator. She brings a robust and complementary skill set in programming, evaluation/research, and senior management. Collaborations with nonprofits and government partners in African and American contexts have led to designing and evaluating community health and empowerment programs that address the social-normative determinants of health using realist and collaborative evaluation approaches. In evaluations of teen and youth-focused programs and guiding youth-led evaluations, Susan often incorporates participatory methods to shift the power balance where youth opinions and analyses matter as much as adults. Susan led a recent collaboration with CLEAR-FA to create and test a five-day training program for evaluators undertaking child, adolescent, and youth-sensitive evaluations. CLEAR-FA is now introducing the program in different regional and national fora.
