Dr. Emily Post is an anthropologist by training, receiving both her Master's and Doctorate degree in Human Behavioral Ecology from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her doctorate dissertation focused on studying social network structure in response to natural disasters and cultural variation in gender-differentiated social structure in the Caribbean nation of Dominica. She now works as a Research Scientist for the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine in Bethesda, MD. Her role involves overseeing the design, execution, and analysis of research projects and evaluation programs addressing critical issues in improving national-level disaster preparedness and public health readiness supporting the Uniformed Service University's National Center for Disaster Medicine & Public Health.
