Through my company, Praxis Associates, and my role on the NewStories Core Team, I support organizations that are working toward a more equitable, just, and humane society to think clearly about and answer the questions that are important to them about what they do, how they do it, what is resulting, and whether what's resulting matters. I specialize in: principles focused and developmental evaluation, as well as other evaluation and research approaches with an emphasis on utilization. With my colleagues at both Praxis and NewStories, we often embed evaluation within the larger context of program and strategic planning and organizational development, using values-based principles as the backbone of a co-creative action-reflection-learning-planning spiral. I believe evaluation is rooted in incorporating people’s lived experiences and identities when defining the impact and value of the activities they are engaged in.
