Wendy B. Dickinson (Ph.D., University of South Florida) is an educational researcher-practitioner. She holds a doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Emphasis in Educational Measurement and Evaluation, and Cognate in Fine Arts. Dr. Dickinson served as President of the Florida Educational Research Association; as Editorial Board Member, International Journal of Multiple Research Approaches (2019 - present); as Editorial Board Member for Multiple Linear Regression Viewpoints Journal; Contributing Editor (Society for Visual Anthropology) for Anthropology News (2007–2012), and Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society (2008 - present).
Dr. Dickinson provides expertise as an external evaluator for federal grants funded by agencies such as National Science Foundation, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the United States Department of Education. She has served as a Faculty Consultant for Educational Testing Service (AP Statistics Examination). Dr. Dickinson presented her computer programming work at the SAS Global Forum (2019, 2020), and her data visualization research at the Mixed Methods International Research Association Conference (Trinidad and Tobago: 2019; University of Shizouka, Japan: 2019). Recent works include Visualizing America: SAS graphical depictions utilizing the American Community Survey, presentation for SAS Global Forum 2020, Washington, DC., and Digital Data Narratives for Collaborative Evaluation, presentation for the American Evaluation Association, 2022.
Dr. Dickinson provides professional development trainings for corporations and educational entities, including Color, Cut-outs and Collage: Matisse Makers Workshop (PD Workshop 2021) for the Ringling College of Art + Design. National presentations include Data display strategies: Visualization with Veracity, presented for the 2020 Virtual Workshops: American Anthropological Association, and Letters to the Pharaoh: Arts Integration for Mathematics in Alternative Education (2017) and STEAM Integration for Alternative Education, an Invited Presentation for the Eastern Educational Research Association (2018). Art exhibitions include Aqua Miami (2015), Spectrum Miami (2018, 2019, 2021) and Red Dot Miami (2022,2023).
