Zero Suicide and Trauma Informed Care: Developing and Using Implementation Assessments to Bring Research to Practice and Elevate Consumer Voice

In Oregon, human services systems are utilizing the Oregon Trauma Informed Care and the Zero Suicide Implementation Assessment tools to design and track the implementation of human services frameworks in a way that elevates consumer voice. The PSU RRI Human Services Implementation Lab has collaborated with local, state, and national partners to develop implementation tools with internal and external assessment options that incorporate consumer and provider voices, metrics, and multiple data collection methods to assess levels of implementation, guide program planning, and document change over time. Attendees will be introduced to these tools, including measures of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Just Culture, Workforce Wellness, and Consumer Voice. Methodologies for developing related tools will also be discussed.
