Abstract Information: An innovative community led indicator development methodology for peacebuilding, piloted with the Alternatives to Violence Project in Rwanda and called "Peace Progres Markers". Integrating outcome mapping, community-led indicator development, and the logical framework approach, it includes the development of impact statements, group descriptions, and Progress Markers that capture cultural nuances and contextual variations in behavioral concepts. Adaptable to local contexts and simple for participants, this approach enhances engagement and allows for incremental assessment of behavioral changes. Application of the framework can lead to M&E planning with a structured approach to data collection, analysis, and reporting, utilizing methods such as Most Significant Change Stories and narrative reporting - while increasing community self-ownership, relevance, and appropriateness. This holistic approach empowers initiatives to effectively measure and communicate transformative outcomes, strengthening their capacity to contribute to sustainable peacebuilding efforts worldwide.
